Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz News Release

OKLAHOMA CITY- The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz (6-2) return home to the Ford Center, hosting the Rio Grande Valley Dorados (4-4) Saturday night. It is the second of three straight games the Yard Dawgz will play against divisional foes in the af2's National Conference Midwest Division. The Yard Dawgz play at Tulsa next week.

Last week the Yard Dawgz dropped their first road game of the season, losing to the Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings, 53-50 on Saturday night.

This week Oklahoma City returns home to face a well rested Rio Grande team, that was idle last week. The Dorados last game was a 35-28 loss in Amarillo on May 20th.

"We know they're going to be hungry because teams are always ready to play after a bye week," Yard Dawgz Head Coach Jeff Jarnigan said. "And having lost the week the before, they'll be even more keyed up. It's a big game, as it always is when you're playing in your division."

The Yard Dawgz are in first place of the Midwest Division, just one game ahead of Arkansas and Tulsa, and only two games up on Rio Grande Valley and Amarillo, underscoring the importance of this game.

Saturday's game is Academy Sports and Outdoor night, as well as Teamsters Night with the Yard Dawgz. The game can be heard on KEBC AM 1340, KFNY 1640 AM and KGFF 1450 AM with Mike Fraser calling the action. For more information contact the Yard Dawgz at 405.228.3294 or visit the team at www.okcyarddawgz.com.
