
McFadden Back Again with Pioneers

Wilkes-Barre, PA- The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers are pleased to announce that Leroy McFadden will be returning to their roster after being assigned to the team by the af2 league office. McFadden was a force to be reckoned with while playing for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers.
In 2005, the 6-3 250 pound WR/LB rejoined the team for the playoffs to help make up for the loss of JR Thomas. McFadden came back in grand style. He rushed four times for four yards and one touchdown. McFadden also caught five passes for 47 yards. On defense he recorded a solo tackle and recovered a fumble in the endzone for the only score in the first quarter. McFadden was named U.S. Army Ironman of the Week in just his first game with the Pioneers that season.
In 2004, McFadden racked up 47 catches for 554 yards and 23 touchdowns. He was second on the team in rushing with 16 carries for a net of 67 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, McFadden recorded 22.0 tackles (17 unassisted), one interception, three pass break-ups, one forced fumble and one fumble return.
Leroy McFadden was named U.S. Army Ironman of the Week in Week 3 of the 2004 season. He was also named to the American Conference All-af2 Second Team the 2004 season and the American Conference All-af2 First Team in 2003 at the WR/LB position.
Before the Pioneers first round of the 2005 af2 ArenaCup Playoffs, McFadden spent a few months in Miami, FL with the Miami Morays of the NIFL. As a Morey, he competed in eleven games racking up 46 carries for 212 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also had 32 catches for 346 yards and seven touchdowns. He also has seen playing time with the Minnesota Vikings and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After being cut by the Bucks, Leroy landed in Charleston, South Carolina playing for the af2's Charleston Swamp Foxes. McFadden played college football at Michigan State.
