OKLAHOMA CITY YARD DAWGZ (6-4) vs. RIO GRANDE VALLEY DORADOS (9-1) SATURDAY, JUNE 23, 2007- DODGE ARENA (5,500) 7:30 P.M. CST
On June 23rd, the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz will head to Hidalgo, TX, where they will face the 9-1 Rio Grande Valley Dorados. This game will match-up the top ranked offense and defense in the league.
After 12 weeks of regular season play, the Dawgz still lead the league in pass offense (319 yds/game) and sacks allowed (5). The Dorados lead the league in four major defensive categories: scoring defense (29.8 points/game), pass defense (183.6 yards/game), total defense (200.1 yards/game), and sacks (40).
Last week, the Yard Dawgz were handed their first loss since the beginning of May. The Arkansas Twisters held Oklahoma City to 39 points, their second lowest score of the season.
"Rio Grande Valley will be a big challenge for us," said Head Coach John Fitzgerald. "We will have to play a lot better than we did last week to win. The Dorados aren't 9-1 by accident."
