Memphis Xplorers News Release
SOUTHAVEN, MS- The Memphis Xplorers of af2, looking to get back on the winning track at home this weekend, will welcome the Arkansas Twisters to the DeSoto Civic Center on Saturday night at 7:00 pm. The Xplorers will also welcome the internationally renowned Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders to town.
The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, who appeared previously this season at a Memphis RiverKings hockey game, will bring their world-famous act to the DCC once again. The Cheerleaders, whose âShow Group' has been seen at sporting events, business conventions, trade shows and festivals all over the world, will sign autographs for fans prior to the game at the DeSoto Civic Center, and then will perform at halftime.
The Xplorers will be taking on one of their most bitter rivals as they battle the Arkansas Twisters. Arkansas has never been beaten by Memphis, but the Twisters have struggled mightily this season, losing their last four games after winning their season-opener.
For their part, the Xplorers will be looking to right the ship after a disappointing two-game losing streak, although both losses came at the hands of division leaders in Tennessee Valley (4-1) and Louisville (4-1).
Game time is scheduled for 7:05 pm CST. All sixteen regular season Xplorers football games will be heard throughout the Mid-South on SportsPlus 790 WMC. In addition, all home games will be broadcast on X-Cast, a special in-house radio broadcast designed specifically for the DeSoto Civic Center. X-Cast airs on 107.9 FM, and can be received while in the DeSoto Civic Center by using a walkman or other personal radio.
For more information, contact the Xplorers office at 662-342-1755.
