Florida Firecats News Release
Estero, FL- The Florida Firecats and American Cancer Society are pleased to announce their partnership in the battle against cancer.
The American Cancer Society (ACS) is a "nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service". The ACS, founded in 1913, is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, and they have state divisions and more than 3,400 local offices.
To assist in the battle against cancer, the Florida Firecats will team up with the American Cancer Society by donating 400 tickets for their next home game. Half of the proceeds from the tickets will be given to the American Cancer Society. The next home game for the Firecats is Saturday, May 29, when they take on their conference rivals, the Memphis Xplorers, at TECO Arena.
Anyone wishing to participate in this fundraiser should contact Bo Pamplin, American Cancer Society representative, at (239) 334-1134.
