Wyss Adds General Manager Title and Duties for OC Blues FC

Orange County Blues FC Head Coach and General Manager Oliver Wyss

IRVINE, Calif. (August 28, 2015) - Orange County Blues FC has announced that Head Coach Oliver Wyss has added the title and duties of General Manager. His vast experience on all levels of the sport will apply in his new title as he will lead the overall development of the franchise in Orange County and oversee all first team roster changes in cooperation with the ownership.
"Oliver brings a strict work ethic and creativity to the OC Blues organization. There is no doubt in my mind that the OC Blues will soar under Oliver's management and vision," stated Owner Ali Mansouri.
Wyss played professionally in the U.S. and Switzerland where he represented the Swiss Youth National Team in over 20 games. After a severe illness that prematurely ended his playing career, he started coaching successfully for the last 19 years at West Coast Futbol Club, winning multiple USYSA National Championships. Wyss graduated from the Swiss Business School with a diploma in Economics, and speaks multiple languages. He has an extensive International network with professional clubs that has benefited the current OC Blues FC roster.
Head Coach Wyss, Technical Director Barry Venison and the coaching staff have the team in a great position to reach the Western Conference playoffs and in contention for the USL championship.
OC Blues FC next hosts Portland Timbers 2 on Saturday, August 29th, at UC Irvine's Anteater Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. PT.
