PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - The St. Lucie Mets received a boost from Major League rehabbers David Wright and Brandon Nimmo in a 5-2 win over the Fort Myers Miracle on Saturday.

Wright had his best offensive night in his 10 rehab games. He went 2 for 4 with a double, single, two runs scored and a RBI. He played seven solid innings at third base.

Nimmo (finger) went 1 for 3 with a single, walk, run and stolen base from the leadoff spot. He played seven innings in center field and made all the plays on fly balls hit his way.

Mets starter Michael Gibbons improved to 4-1 in his five August starts. He limited the Miracle to one run on a solo homer by Alex Kirilloff over six strong innings. Gibbons scattered four hits, walked one and struck out five.

Gibbons lowered his August ERA to 1.72.

The Mets took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on a rally started by Wright. The Mets captain hit a two-out single and went on to score on base hit by Desmond Lindsay.

Wright hit a leadoff double in the third inning and scored again on a Lindsay hit to make it 2-0. Blake Tiberi added a RBI on a fielder's choice later in the inning to put the Mets up 3-0.

In the fourth inning Nimmo singled, stole second, went to third on a wild pitch and scored on a Wright grounder. That made it 4-1 Mets.
