Las Vegas Wranglers News Release

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today the team has re-signed right wing Jordan Cameron and defenseman Tim Hambly.

"We are very excited to get Tim back here in Las Vegas for a full season", said Wranglers General Manager / Head Coach Glen Gulutzan. "We saw him at the tail end of last season and we were impressed with his abilities. He's a smart player and he should help us on our power play. If he can get bigger and stronger he has a good chance at playing in the American Hockey League.

"Jordan Cameron is a big kid whom I like very much. We were missing size in our lineup last year and we hope he can help fill that void."

Cameron originally was obtained in a trade with the Alaska Aces on March 22nd along with left wing Charles Linglet in exchange for defenseman Ryan Gaucher. Cameron was never able to play for the Wranglers due to a knee injury. Prior to his injury in Alaska, Cameron scored five goals and added seven assists for 12 points in 47 games played with the Aces. For his career, the third-year forward has 22 goals and 20 assists for 42 points in 116 games played. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound winger scored four goals in a game against the Bakersfield Condors on February 14th, 2004.

Defenseman Tim Hambly re-signs with Las Vegas after joining the team near the end of the 2004-05 season. Hambly played eight games for the Wranglers with two assists and four penalty minutes. Prior to joining Las Vegas, the 21-year old led all University of Minnesota Duluth defensemen in scoring last season with five goals and 15 assists for 20 points in 34 games played. The White Bear Lake, MN native played four seasons at UMD, totaling 13 goals and 47 assists for 60 points in 141 games played. He posted a career-high +33 rating during the 03-04 season. Hambly is the third UMD player to sign with the Wranglers for the upcoming season, joining former collegiate teammates Evan Schwabe and Marco Peluso.

By re-signing Cameron and Hambly, the Wranglers now have nine signed players on their roster. The duo joins goalie Marc Magliarditi, defenseman Mike McBain and forwards Chris Stanley, Dan Tudin, Dana Lattery, Evan Schwabe and Marco Peluso for the upcoming 2005-06 season. More signings are expected in the upcoming weeks.
