
Wranglers OS Tacoma Fontaine chosen as AFL Offensive Player of the Week

AUSTIN, Texasâ In the second AFL start of his career, Austin Wranglers Offensive Specialist Tacoma Fontaine was chosen as the AFL's Baby Ruth Big Deal Offensive Player of the Week after his Week Seven performance as the Wranglers beat the Detroit Fury last Thursday night 70-58.
Fontaine caught seven passes for 205 yards and five touchdowns, recording the most receiving yards in a single game by an AFL player this season. His contributions limited to the past three weeks, Fontaine has accumulated a total of 18 receptions for 386 yards and nine touchdowns since his first AFL game when the Wranglers hosted the Carolina Cobras, March 7.
The Austin Wranglers will host fellow-AFL expansion franchise, the Philadelphia Soul, this Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Frank Erwin Center.
