Chicago Rush News Release

Chicago Rush FB/LB Bob McMillen was named the AFL's ADT Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in Chicago's 58-15 win over Orlando Sunday, the AFL announced today.

McMillen was one of several Rush players who excelled during a record-setting day for the Rush defense. In the game, McMillen recorded three tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovered. As a unit the Rush defense recovered three fumbles, intercepted three passes and sacked Orlando quarterbacks seven times.

Along with his performance on defense, McMillen enjoyed another solid day on offense, rushing for 12 yards and two touchdowns (including the 50th rushing touchdown of his career) and catching one pass for six yards.

In addition, when backup Levelle Brown left the game in the first quarter with a shoulder injury, McMillen was forced to play every minute of the second and third quarters, before finally getting a short break in the middle of the fourth quarter.

The Rush (5-1) continues its two-game homestand at Allstate Arena this Sunday, March 28, at 2 p.m. against the Detroit Fury (2-4). Fans wishing to purchase individual game tickets to the Detroit game, or any Rush 2004 home game, may order by calling Ticketmaster at (312) 559-1212, or by visiting the Ticketmaster Web site at www.ticketmaster.com.
