Crush's Brenner to appear on ESPN2's Cold Pizza
March 23, 2004 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I)
Colorado Crush News Release
Colorado Crush kicker Anthony Brenner will appear on ESPN2's Cold Pizza morning show to discuss his return to the Arena Football League as a means to provide medical coverage for his special-needs daughter. Brenner will be interviewed live on Cold Pizza at 6:09 a.m. MT on Wednesday, March 24, and the interview will re-run on tape at 8:09 a.m. MT that morning.
Brenner, who had not played since 1998, returned to football in order to provide health benefits for his two-year-old daughter Bailey, and to pay off the extensive medical bills accrued as various medical experts attempted to treat and diagnose Bailey's daily seizures and loss of vision.
Brenner previously kicked for the Charlotte Rage from 1995-96 and Arizona Rattlers from 1997-98 before retiring from football. He served as a high school soccer coach and personal trainer for kickers after retiring, but resumed his career this season with the Crush.
