American Conference Finals South Carolina Stingrays vs. Cincinnati Cyclones The Stingrays defeated the Cyclones in Game 1 of the American Conference Finals, taking the series lead 1-0. The Stingrays scored four goals in the second period, powering their way to a 7-4 victory over the defending champs. Game 2 is scheduled for Monday night in South Carolina
Game 2 Recap Anchorage, AK - The Las Vegas Wranglers (8-8) were defeated by the Alaska Aces (10-2) 4-1 in Game 2 of the National Conference Finals in front of 4,595 fans at the Sullivan Arena on Sunday night. Alaska goalie J.P. Lamoureaux made 23 saves for the win. Aces forwards Lance Galbraith, Alexandre Imbeault, Vladimir Novak and Luke Erikson each scored in the victory. Wranglers' defenseman Dan Spang scored the team's lone goal in the defeat. Las Vegas goalie Glenn Fisher suffered the loss, stopping16 of 19 Aces shots before he was pulled in the second period.
