National Conference Plots

Las Vegas improved to 3-0 in Game 7s all-time. The Wranglers and Aces meet for the third time in the playoffs. Alaska beat Las Vegas in 2006 and the Wranglers beat the Aces last season.

Winger Matt Beaudoin is the last Wrangler on the playoff roster that remains in the AHL. Houston leads Milwaukee 2-1 in their best of seven series. Game 4 is Thursday night in Houston. In ten Calder Cup playoff games with Houston, Beaudoin has six assists and nine points. Beaudoin scored the game-winning goal in last night's 3-1 Aeros win. Game 4 is tonight in Houston. The American Conference Finals feature the South Carolina Stingrays and the Cincinnati Cyclones. South Carolina has home ice advantage in the best of seven series. Last season, the Cyclones defeated the Rays in five games on their way to a Kelly Cup. South Carolina will host Games 1 and 2 this Saturday and Monday in Charleston. Game 7 Recap

The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Stockton Thunder 5-1 in Game 7 of the Pacific Division Finals in front of 3,282 fans at the Orleans Arena on Wednesday night. With the win, the Wranglers advance to the National Conference Finals to play the Alaska Aces. Wranglers' goalie Glenn Fisher made 41 saves as the Wranglers win the best of seven series 4-3. Wranglers forwards Mick Lawrence, Tyler Mosienko, Scott McCulloch, and Chris Neiszner each scored for Las Vegas, improving to 6-2 at home this postseason. Stockton forward Cory Urquhart scored the lone Thunder goal. Thunder goalie Parker Van Buskirk stopped 24 of 28 shots in the loss.
