Wranglers Drop Game Five, Complete Season at Home

Las Vegas, Nev- The Las Vegas Wranglers® fell to the Idaho Steelheads Tuesday night in game five of the Western Conference quarterfinals. Blair Riley netted the lone goal for Las Vegas which he did in game three of the series as well. Idaho's Tristan King picked a good night to score his first and second goals of the postseason and Evan Barlow added the empty net goal all for Idaho. Neither team converted on a five combined power plays. Jerry Kuhn allowed the lone goal on 23 shots faced while Michael Ouzas allowed two goals on 25 shots faced. With Idaho moving on to face Alaska there will be no teams left in the tournament representing the Pacific Division.

Idaho took the first lead of the game at 9:02 of the first period with Tristan King's first goal of the night assisted by Evan Barlow. Las Vegas answered back at 10:10 of the first period with Blair Riley's fourth goal of the series assisted by Ryan Huddy and Tyler Mosienko.

Idaho separated for good at 2:25 of the second period with Tristan King's second goal of the postseason assisted by Evan Barlow and Marty Flichel.

Las Vegas fought back all game and drew three penalties but was unable to capitalize. Ouzas was pulled late in the third period for the extra skater when Evan Barlow netted his second goal of the series taking game five, 3-1, and the series for Idaho.
