Aces Announce Upcoming Series Schedule

The top-seeded Alaska Aces will face the fifth-seeded Idaho Steelheads in the Western Conference Semi-Finals, the Aces and ECHL announced on Tuesday night. Idaho advanced to face the Aces after a 3-1 win over the Las Vegas Wranglers on Tuesday to clinch their best-of-five, opening round series. The Conference Semi-Finals will begin with the Aces 2011 post-season debut on Friday, April 15th at 7:15pm at Sullivan Arena. Playoff tickets are on sale now at the Aces office, the Sullivan Arena Box Office, Fred Meyer Stores, or online at www.ticketmaster.com. The Aces and Steelheads have met three previous times in the playoffs with the Aces going 1-2 all-time in series history. Alaska dominated the regular-season series this year, going 7-2 against the Steelheads.
The best-of-seven format will feature two games in Anchorage, before the series shifts to Boise for the next three games. If necessary, the teams will return to Anchorage to finish the series at Sullivan Arena on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 26th and 27th. The winner will advance to the Western Conference Finals where they will face the winner of the Utah Grizzlies vs. Victoria Salmon Kings semi-final series.
