Wranglers Announce Black & White Scrimmage, Training Camp Schedule

Las Vegas, Nev. - The Las Vegas Wranglers(r) announced today the training camp schedule for the Wranglers' ninth season. For the second year in a row, the team will hold a black vs. white scrimmage during camp that benefits the Las Vegas Junior Wranglers youth hockey team.

Wranglers players will face off against each other in a friendly match on Sunday, Oct. 2, at 6:00 p.m. with practice and doors opening at 5:00 p.m. The scrimmage will take place at the Sobe Ice Arena inside the Fiesta Rancho, and tickets can be bought at the door for $10. All proceeds from the black vs. white match will go toward the Junior Wranglers program.

"Las Vegas youth hockey has done an amazing job of producing some very talented and special hockey players here in the community," said General Manager and Head Coach Ryan Mougenel. "For so many players in the last couple of years to go on to Major Junior and D1 scholarships, and grow as hockey players and people, is an amazing compliment to the minor hockey coaches, volunteers, and parents here in Las Vegas. Let's pack the house to give back to the Junior Wranglers."

The Wranglers host Opening Night, billed as "The Last Professional Hockey Game on Earth," on Friday, Oct. 21 at 7:05 p.m. against Ontario Reign. 2011-12 season seat packages, starting at $30, are on sale now at 702-471-PUCK. The Wranglers play all 36 regular season home games at the Orleans Arena, located next to the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Ave.
