Arizona Rattlers News Release
PHOENIX - Arizona Rattlers WR Jarrod Harrington has been named the Indoor Football League's (IFL) Most Improved Player for the 2019 season. During the 2018 season, Harrington had just 12 receptions and two receiving touchdowns in 10 games played. However, his strong 2019 campaign helped propel the Rattlers to their first undefeated regular season in franchise history.
"It feels amazing," Harrington said of receiving the award. "I was training every single day. I was lifting four days a week, running seven days a week. I needed to improve from last season from really learning the arena game. Now that I've learned that game, I've made this game as good as my outdoor game."
Harrington started in every game this season and put up career-high numbers across the board. He led the team in receptions (54), receiving yards (696), and his 14 touchdown catches were second on the team. He also played a vital role on special teams as he averaged 19.1 yards per kickoff return while returning two kickoffs for touchdowns.
"I couldn't have done this without my teammates though," Harrington added. "They put me in a position to make plays and help me become a better player."
Not only was Harrington named the Most Improved Player, but he also earned Second Team All-IFL Offense at wide receiver.
