Worcester Sharks News Release

WORCESTER - The Worcester Sharks are excited to announce the agreement between the American Hockey League and the B2 Power Play. The B2 Network will give Sharks fans the opportunity to log onto www.sharksahl.com from anywhere and watch their games.

Included in the B2 Power Play package are access to watch every regular-season Sharks game, free access to the AHL Game of the Week and exclusive weekly highlights. And in addition to broadband viewing on personal computers, B2 Power Play will also be available on the new B2toGO network, allowing fans to watch American Hockey League games on cell phones and other wireless devices.

Today's announcement marks another step forward in the partnership between the AHL and B2 Networks. Last season more than 1,000 AHL games were broadcast on the network to hockey fans around the world, including the 2006 Rbk Hockey AHL All-Star Classic and every game of the 2006 Calder Cup Playoffs. As the 2006-07 season approaches, AHL fans now have more options than ever to follow their favorite team.

Worcester Sharks fans will also have the opportunity to tune into WTAG 580 AM locally to hear play-by-play of each and every game by the "Voice of the Sharks," Jamie Smock. Smock can also be heard through WTAG on the Sharks website at www.sharksahl.com.

On Sunday mornings, Smock will be a frequent contributor with Sherman Whitman on the WTAG 580 AM station where the "Worcester Sharks Today" radio show can be heard at 7:00 a.m.

For select games, fans will also have the opportunity to watch Sharks Hockey on Charter's WCTR-3 Television station. Check www.sharksahl.com for details.

Fans interested in B2 Power Play can go to www.b2now.com/SubMarketPage/AHL/signupsplash.html for sign-up.

"We are very excited to announce B2 Power Play as we enter the second year of our partnership with B2 Networks," said Chris Nikolis, AHL vice president of sales and marketing. "We hope AHL fans around the world will continue to make the AHL on B2 one of the ways they stay close to the excitement and energy of AHL hockey."

B2 Power Play will go on sale Friday, Sept. 22. A full regular-season package costs $160 billed in eight installments, or fans can pay for the regular season in full for $150. Any fan purchasing B2 Power Play before Oct. 1 will receive a rate of only $140, a savings of more than 70 percent off the individual game price. B2toGO, a service delivering live games and highlights to cell phones and hand held PDA's, will be available for purchase on Oct. 2 for a full regular-season price of $56 over eight installments or $50 if paid in full. Fans who purchase B2 Power Play will be eligible to add B2toGO for only an additional $25.

Individual broadband games are still available for the same $6 price as last season.

The Worcester Sharks inaugural season begins on Friday, October 6 against the Pirates in Portland. The Sharks open at home on the 14th of October against the Portland Pirates for a 7:05 p.m. slate.
