January 21, 2004 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Fort Worth Brahmas News Release

Fort Worth – Fort Worth Brahmas left wing Chad Woollard, the team's leader in goals (14), assists (18), and points (32), traveled to Albuquerque, New Mexico this morning where he will participate in the 2004 Dodge CHL All Star Game tomorrow night, Thursday, January 22, 2004. The game will be played at Tingley Coliseum, the home of the CHL's New Mexico Scorpions. Face off is scheduled for 8:15 CST (7:15 MST).

This is the second consecutive CHL All Star Game appearance for Woollard. Last year, in the 2003 game that was played at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City, Woollard scored a goal for the Northern Conference All Star team that was defeated 10-6 by the Southern Conference squad.

Woollard, the only Brahmas player selected for the All Star Game, will also once again be participating in the CHL All Star Skills Challenge. The Skills Challenge will be held just prior to the start of the All Star Game tomorrow night. Woollard will be defending his title in the Accuracy Shootout Contest. Last year, Woollard hit the four required targets on just five shots in just over fifteen seconds to easily win the contest.

The 2004 Dodge CHL All Star Game will not be broadcast on a Fort Worth radio affiliate. Brahmas' fans wishing to follow Woollard's All Star action are encouraged to log onto www.chltv.com for the live video and audio stream of the game.

Woollard and his Brahmas teammates will return to regular season CHL action this Friday night, January 23, when they travel to Odessa to take on the Jackalopes at 7:00 p.m. After a rare Saturday night off, the Brahmas will then go to Austin on Sunday afternoon, January 25, for a matinee game (3:05 p.m.) against the Ice Bats. The game Friday night from Odessa will not be broadcast by the Brahmas, but Sunday's game against the Ice Bats will be broadcast on KTFW 1460 AM beginning at 2:45 p.m. For additional information, please contact the Brahmas office at (817) 336-4423.

IN OTHER BRAHMAS NEWS:

Fort Worth did make one roster move earlier this week, removing center Chad Grills from the 45 day injured reserve list and then placing him on waivers. Grills, who played in 17 games for the Brahmas this season, was injured on November 28, 2003 at Corpus Christi and has not played since then.
