Down East Wood Ducks News Release

KINSTON, NC - The Wood Ducks and Astros could not finish Wednesday's contest before heavy rains poured at Grainger Stadium, forcing the game to be suspended in the top of the seventh in a 3-3 tie.

The contest will resume play at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday with the Astros batting at the bottom of the order in the seventh. After the conclusion of the suspended game, the teams will play the regularly scheduled game to close the season series with the Astros. That "second" game will be a full nine-inning contest coming 30 minutes after the end of the first.

Fans with tickets to Wednesday's game can bring their stubs to the box office to exchange them for any home game remaining on the schedule (including Thursday's Throwback night). All ticket exchanges must be completed on the day of the game fans wish to attend.
