Chicago Wolves News Release

The Chicago Wolves will debut new uniforms during the 2007-08 season as part of the National Hockey League and American Hockey League's Rbk EDGE Uniform project. All 29 AHL teams and the 30 NHL franchises will introduce the new look in the coming weeks.

The uniform features technologically-advanced materials and fabrics that are more breathable, more resistant to water absorption and offer greater range of motion for players. More than two years of extensive research, development and testing were performed by Reebok, with player feedback integral to the process.

"In hockey, you are always looking for an edge and the advancement in equipment technology over the last couple of years has been amazing," said Wolves General Manager Kevin Cheveldayoff. "I anticipate that the new uniform technology will continue the trend."

Chicago's logo and team colors, which have been in place since the club's inception in 1994, will not change.

Fans can see the Wolves don the uniforms for the first time live on Comcast Cable when they open their 14th season against the Houston Aeros at the Toyota Center on Sat., Oct. 6 at 7:30 p.m. The new look will debut at the Allstate Arena when the team opens its 40-game home slate against the Milwaukee Admirals on Sat., Oct. 13, at 7 p.m. For season tickets, flex packs or group information, call 1-800-THE-WOLVES or log on to chicagowolves.com.
