
New Jersey promotes Lowell locker room staff

LOWELL, Mass. - The National Hockey League's New Jersey Devils, parent company of the American Hockey League's Lowell Devils, promoted two members of its locker room staff: Rich Stinziano and Matt Mitchell.
Rich Stinziano will be the assistant athletic trainer with New Jersey after serving as head athletic trainer with Lowell in 2006-07. A doctor of physical therapy, he is in his second season with the organization. Prior to joining the Devils, Stinziano spent seven years as an athletic trainer and physical therapy assistant for the University of Buffalo, where he worked with the student athletes and orthopedic outpatient services. The Syracuse, NY native earned his doctorate and completed his undergraduate studies at UB.
Matt Mitchell will serve as an assistant equipment manager for the NHL club after holding the position of head equipment manager in Lowell last season. Mitchell is in his second year with the organization after spending six seasons as head equipment manager for the San Diego Gulls (ECHL). He also worked with the Binghamton Rangers (AHL), New Mexico Scorpions (WPHL) and New York Rangers (NHL) as well.
Devils move road game against P-Bruins
The Lowell Devils and Providence Bruins have moved a game to be held in Providence due to a scheduling conflict with the Dunkin' Donuts Center. The match, originally scheduled for Friday, February 1st, has been moved to Wednesday, December 12th. The game time remains the same: a 7:05 p.m. face off.
The Devils home opener is just 39 days away, when they host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at 7:05 p.m. at Tsongas Arena.
