LOWELL, Mass. - The Lowell Devils are participating in various community events throughout the Merrimack Valley during the off-season. Below is a list of upcoming events for the Devils. Coming Up:

Wednesday, September 5 - Pentucket Youth Hockey Season Kick-Off; Memorial Rink, Haverhill

Devil Dawg and Lowell Devils staff members will help start up the season for the Pentucket Youth Hockey League. Teams will be on the ice, and there will be food and giveaways for the kids. Devil Dawg will be in attendance from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Friday, September 7 - AHL Booster Club Convention; Chelmsford

The 43rd annual Association of American Hockey League Booster Clubs Convention will be held from September 7th - 9th at the Radisson Hotel and Suites in Chelmsford, hosted by the Lowell Devils Booster Club. This season, 300 booster club members from all over the AHL will converge on the Merrimack Valley. Devil Dawg will help usher in the event on Friday by making an appearance from 7:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Saturday, September 8 - Dracut Old Home Day; Dracut School Complex, Dracut

Last year, this annual community event brought in over 12,000 people, visiting over 150 booths from civic organizations, vendors and corporate sponsors. The Lowell Devils staff, and Devil Dawg, will be at the event which runs from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The Devils home opener is just 39 days away, when they host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at 7:05 p.m. at Tsongas Arena. One lucky fan that night will walk away with a free 61" HD TV, courtesy of Best Buy in Nashua.
