Wolves Kick off Triple Header Weekend Wednesday against the Greyhounds

(GREATER SUDBURY, ON) The Sudbury Wolves return to the Den to host a 3-game homestand.

Wednesday night, the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds come to town while the Niagara IceDogs make their 3rd trip to Sudbury on Friday. Both games are set for a 7:05pm start. Sunday, the Kingston Frontenacs visit for the only time this season for an afternoon matinee, with puck drop at 2:05pm.

The Wolves picked up three points out of a possible four this weekend. The Pack continued to fill the scoresheet with their special teams playing a huge role. Friday against Barrie saw the Pack score 5 powerplay goals and 2 shorthanded goals, propelling the Wolves to a 9-6 win in a spirited contest.

Following Friday, the Wolves hit the road for a Sunday afternoon tilt with the Mississauga Steelheads.

Sudbury would score 3 powerplay goals, including a clutch third period marker by Nick DeAngelis, to earn a point and send the game to a shootout.

The Soo Greyhounds enter this week second in the Western Conference. They are led offensively by Jack Beck, recording 29 points in 27 games. Import draft selection and Vegas Golden Knights prospect Arttu Karki has been a staple of the Greyhounds Power Play, with the defenceman scoring 11 goals on the man advantage.

New York Rangers prospect and Soo captain Bryce McConnell-Barker has been a consistent producer this season, including having points in 13 of his last 15 games.

Friday night Central Division rivals, the Niagara IceDogs come to town. The IceDogs are riding the momentum of two big wins last week, including a 4-3 overtime win in Kitchener on Friday, and a 2-1 win against Peterborough on Sunday. Goaltender Marcus Vandenberg stopped 44 of 47 Rangers shots in the Friday contest and followed it up by stopping 33 of 34 Peterborough shots.

Friday's game is also our Winter Wonderland Fan Fest where we will be giving back to our amazing fans. Over the past 3 consecutive sell-out home games, your support hasn't gone unnoticed! The week wraps up with a Sunday matinee. The Kingston Frontenacs currently sit seventh in the Eastern Conference. Chicago Blackhawks prospect Paul Ludwinski has continued to be a prime producer for the Fronts, producing 26 points in 23 games. Familiar faces on the other side see former Wolves captain Jacob Holmes and import selection Jakub Chromiak return to Sudbury.

Sunday's game is our Sensory Friendly game, and the Wolves invite all fans to attend. Fans can expect a reduced volume level and reduced use of lights that cause sensitivities. A quiet room will also be provided for those that need to get away. Wolves Sunday of the season; fans are encouraged to bring their skates to join members of the Pack for a post-game skate.

December 10th game is another Foyer Inner City Homes Food Drive. They will be on hand collecting non- perishable and canned food items at the game. Everyone who donates towards the food drive will be entered into a draw to win a number of prizes donated by the Sudbury Wolves and Glencore. The Sudbury Wolves will also welcome a number of Glencore staff and families to Sunday's game.
