Wolves Bring Back Filangieri

The Chicago Wolves have recalled defenseman TIM FILANGIERI (fill-an-JEER-ee) from the ECHL's Gwinnett Gladiators.

The 22-year-old blueliner has collected three assists and 55 penalty minutes in 49 games with Gwinnett this season. He also has registered a +1 plus/minus rating and four penalty minutes in three games with the Wolves this year.

FILANGIERI made his professional debut in one game with the Syracuse Crunch (AHL) last season, following the conclusion of a four-year career with Boston College (Hockey East.) He also appeared in one game with the Crunch this season, notching two penalty minutes, before being traded to Chicago for future considerations on Oct. 8.

The Islip Terrace, N.Y., native matched a career high with eight assists in 35 games during his senior season at Boston College in 2008-09. Overall, FILANGIERI recorded 20 points (3G, 17A) and 165 penalty minutes in 157 career outings with Boston College from 2005 to 2009.

FILANGIERI will re-join the Wolves tonight when they travel to Wisconsin for an Amtrak Rivalry game against the Milwaukee Admirals at the Bradley Center at 7 p.m.
