
Wolf Warms up with Shutout of Tri-City

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Dustin Wolf outdueled Beck Warm with 36 saves for his 9th career shutout and the Everett Silvertips blanked the Tri-City Americans in a 2-0 victory before 4,071 fans on Friday night in WHL action.
Ending a three-game losing skid, the Tips earned their third win in six tries against Tri-City and Wolf notched his league leading 5th shutout of the season while Connor Dewar and Max Patterson (multi point game) each scored in the first and third periods, respectively.
UP NEXT: The Tips return home to an expected large crowd on Saturday night, 7:05pm against the Lethbridge Hurricanes (KRKO / Tips App). Doors open 6pm, and the first 1,000 fans in attendance receive a complimentary tote bag courtesy of Procura Mortgage. Wolf and Warm exchanged grade-A saves in the first period Dewar popped in a rebound with 49 seconds left, receiving a carom off the pads from Max Patterson's shot from the left wing. Wolf then turned in three high grade saves in the second period including a left post stop on Connor Bouchard's deflection.
Late in the third period, the Tips went up 2-0 when they outmuscled Tri-City for a loose puck in the crease, originally sliced toward the net on Zack Andrusiak's sharp-angled shot from the right wing. Patterson and Robbie Holmes jammed at the puck, and Patterson earned his 12th goal with 3:04 left in regulation.
Wolf made 13 saves in the third period and helped the Tips penalty kill go 3-for-3 in the game. Warm turned in a 31 save effort.
