
WNGS to Broadcast Three Buffalo Bisons Games Live

The Buffalo Bisons today announced that they have teamed up with WNGS to broadcast three 2006 Bisons games live on the new television station. Buffalo's home games on June 2, July 7 and August 4 will be shown on WNGS/RTN 11.
Each game in the series will be preceded by a broadcast of WNGS's "Sportsnite", a 30-minute sports show hosted by John Murphy and Jeff Russo, live from Dunn Tire Park. During the game, fans will be able to hear the play-by-play from the Bisons Radio Network, featuring "The Voice of the Bisons," Jim Rosenhaus, and Duke McGuire.
"We are extremely excited about our partnership with WNGS," said Mike Buczkowski, Vice President/General Manager of the Buffalo Bisons. "Sportsnite' has been a great addition to the sports media in Western New York, and the Bisons are pleased to be a part of their expanding sports entertainment schedule."
"We are pleased to add these Buffalo Bisons' telecasts to WNGS' growing lineup of Sports programming that already includes three Major League Teams - Yankees, Mets and Indians. We believe the Bisons' continue to offer the best in family summer entertainment in WNY and we are pleased to help make this available to the local TV audience," said Michael Nurse, Station Manager of WKBW-TV (WKBW has entered into an advertising and promotional agreement with Equity Broadcasting, owner of WNGS-TV). WNGS-TV can be seen on most cable system on cable channel 11.
The series of broadcasts will start Friday, June 2 as the Buffalo Bisons host the Durham Bulls, the Triple-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, for a 7:35 p.m. start. The game is 100 Club Night with the team paying tribute to the local police, fire and rescue personnel with several pre game ceremonies. The night is also a fridaynightbash!, sponsored by Verizon and Your Neighborhood Ford Stores with a pre game Tent Party at 5:00 p.m. featuring the music of The Jeremy Hoyle Band. After the game, there will be a spectacular fireworks show, presented by HSBC Bank USA, NA.
The other two games that will be broadcasted are Friday, July 7 against the Pawtucket Red Sox (Boston) and Friday, August 4 against the Norfolk Tides (New York Mets).
