
Wizards Sign NBA Point Guard

Bismarck, ND- The Dakota Wizards are pleased to announce the signing of 6'4" point guard, Junior Harrington.
Harrington is a 2002 graduate of Wingate University, and signed with the Denver Nuggets as a free agent in the summer of 2002. Harrington spent all of last season with the Denver Nuggets, starting in 51 games at point guard, and playing in all 82 games. Harrington averaged 5.1 points, 3.4 assists, and 1 steal per game for the Nuggets last season. Harrington had a season high 19 points against the Miami Heat last season (2-8-03), and recorded 10 assists against the New Orleans Hornets (2-28-03).
"We are very excited to have a player of Harrington's caliber join our roster", stated Wizards Head Coach Dave Joerger. "His defensive presence on the court will be a tremendous addition to our team, and I am looking forward to seeing him in action on Friday night."
The Wizards home opener is slated for Friday night, as the Wizards host the Sioux Falls Skyforce at the Bismarck Civic Center. Tip-off is set for 7:05 pm CST, and can be purchased at the Civic Center Box Office.
