Dakota Wizards News Release
Bismarck, ND (Dec. 6, 2005) - The Dakota Wizards are proud to announce that their annual Reading Wizards program will take place tomorrow and Thursday at participating local elementary schools. Every season, the Wizards players, coaches, and office staff go to a series of different area schools and speak to the kids about the importance of reading and education. The players have given many testimonials from their experiences growing up about the importance of reading and education. They also talk about leading a drug and alcohol-free lifestyle.
Each student is then given a bookmark that they get to keep. This bookmark is also good for a free ticket to the December 12th game against the Sioux Falls Skyforce. The response has been phenomenal. The Program continues as students have the opportunity to read books to qualify for free Wizards tickets. Sponsors of the program this season include the Bismarck Tribune, MDU, Tesoro, McDonald's, and Domino's Pizza.
