November 13, 2003 - NBA G League (G League)
Dakota Wizards News Release

Bismarck, ND- The Dakota Wizards of the Continental Basketball Association are pleased to announce that forward Sean Lampley has been called up by the Golden St. Warriors. Lampley is the first player in the nine year history of the Dakota Wizards to receive an NBA call-up. Lampley will be replacing the injured Jason Richardson on the Warriors roster.

Lampley is a 2001 graduate of the University of California, and was named the PAC-10 Player of the Year his senior season. Lampley was the second round draft pick of the Chicago Bulls in the 2001 NBA draft. He spent 20 games during the 2001-02 season with the Saskatchewan Hawks in the CBA where he averaged 16 points and 9 rebounds per game.

Last season, Lampley appeared in 35 games with the Miami Heat, and averaged 4.8 points and 2.4 rebounds per game. He was released by the Heat during training camp this past October.

"We are extremely excited for Sean, the Dakota Wizards organization, and the CBA.", stated Wizards Director of Player Personnel Casey Owens. "Once again, the CBA is a proven route to the NBA. We wish Sean the best, and hope he makes the most of this outstanding opportunity. Sean has worked hard the past two seasons, and the NBA has taken notice. His game, like many others in the CBA, is right at the NBA level. All he needed was an opportunity to showcase his skills", stated Owens.

The Wizards home opener is tomorrow night, as they face the Sioux Falls Skyforce. Tip-off is set for 7:05 pm at the Bismarck Civic Center. Tickets can be purchased at the civic center box office, or at www.ticketmaster.com.
