
Wisconsin Timber Rattlers Homestand Highlights (July 13-18)

GRAND CHUTE, WI - The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers have their first off day since the second half of the 2011 Midwest League season started on June 24 on Tuesday. They get back to action on Wednesday to start a six-game homestand against Eastern Division opponents West Michigan and South Bend. West Michigan, the Midwest League affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, features former Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ben Oglivie and will be in town from July 13-15. South Bend, the MWL affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, has Yazy Arbelo, the league leader in home runs (21) and RBI (67).
The homestand kicks off with a bonus Bang for Your Buck Night on Wednesday with many great promotions to follow over the next five games. Below are the details on all of the promos during the homestand:
WEDNESDAY, JULY 13 at 7:05pm; BONUS BANG FOR YOUR BUCK NIGHT, AMERICAN TV Win-It Wednesday, Fox Communities Credit Union, & Red Smith Night: The Timber Rattlers have another Wednesday night game with Pepsi products, Cher-Make hot dogs, and Miller Beer available for $1. American TV Win-It Wednesday means that every fan aged 16 and older will receive a scratch-off ticket and every ticket is a winner with prizes from the Timber Rattlers and American TV of Appleton. Fox Community Credit Union will be handing out envelopes stuffed with up to $100 to random fans as they enter the ballpark. The Red Smith committee will be presenting scholarships to the winners in a pre-game ceremony.
THURSDAY, JULY 14 at 7:05pm; Slugger's Sports Bar Thirsty Thursday presented by 101.1, WIXX, Military Appreciation Night w/ appearance by Sgt. Slaughter, and Asdrubal Cabrera magnet giveaway from Lamers Bus Lines: Thirsty Thursday means that 22 ounce Pepsi products and 16 ounce Miller products are available for $2. Redeem a Thursday night game ticket at Slugger's, located inside Super Bowl on Northland Avenue, for a chance to win great prizes from Miller Lite. Fans who show a Military ID will receive free admission to the game and Sgt. Slaughter will be on hand for a first pitch, autographs, and to lead the seventh inning stretch. Plus, the first 500 fans will receive a magnet from Lamers Bus Lines featuring former Rattler and current MLB All-Star Asdrubal Cabrera. As part of Military Appreciation Night, the players will wear special patriotic caps that will be available through a silent auction during the game. Proceeds will go to the Disabled American Veterans. The Ocean Spray Mobile Tour will be setting up shop in the parking lot for the first of three days with samples and giveaways.
FRIDAY, JULY 15 at 7:05pm; North Shore Bank Family Night w/ 95.9 KISS-FM Fireworks & Fang's Birthday: Come out and celebrate the birthday of Timber Rattlers mascot Fang. Area mascots will be at the ballpark to participate in a kickball game before the Timber Rattlers game. Since it is also a North Shore Bank Family Night, children 12 and under eat free. After the game, enjoy a fireworks display! After the fireworks, Fazoli's invites children 14 and under to participate in Kids Run the Bases.
SATURDAY, JULY 16 at 6:35pm; FOX 11 Fireworks, Christmas in July: Celebrate Yuletide without the pesky frigid temperatures. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will be at the game to meet the children and take their letters back to the North Pole. The Salvation Army will have their kettles at the stadium and ringing bells for donations. There will be a bake sale and fans may donate pre-wrapped baked goods and receive a Timber Rattlers snow globe or a Scooter v. the Snowman bobblehead. Proceeds from the bake sale will be donated to The Salvation Army. The band 1st Degree will be performing outside the stadium for pregame entertainment. After the game, FOX 11 presents a Saturday Night fireworks display.
SUNDAY, JULY 17 at 1:05pm; Brewers Sunday presented by 107.5, The Fan, Strike Out Cancer Day, & DAV Team Baseball Card Set Giveaway: A special Timber Rattlers baseball card set from the Disabled American Veteran will be given out to the first 2,000 fans on Sunday. As part of Strike Out Cancer Day, $1 for every ticket sold on Sunday will be donated to four area cancer charities. Before the game, fans may play catch on the field presented by momslikeme.com. During the game, the Timber Rattlers players will be wearing jerseys and caps based on those of the 1975 Milwaukee Brewers. After the game, players will be available for a post-game autograph session. Time Warner Cable subscribers may bring in their bill and receive up to four half priced reserve seat tickets on Sunday.
MONDAY, JULY 18 at 12:05pm; Qdoba Q*Monday & BONUS Baker Tilly Business Person's Special, : The first 1,000 fans will receive a poster of Timber Rattlers pitcher Brooks Hall, poster #8 in a series of 10 that are being given away during the 2011 season. Qdoba Q*Monday means fans receive a free ticket to any Monday home game when they purchase a lunch entrée at the Qdoba by the Fox River Mall on a Monday when the Rattlers are at home. There is a also a bonus Baker Tilly Business Person's Special on Monday with a box seat ticket, a beverage, and a brat or hot dog for $11.50 and a business card. Senior citizens may take advantage of this deal, too.
Tickets for these games are available but in a limited quantity. Fans are urged to purchase their tickets in advance one of three ways: On-line at www.timberrattlers.com, over the phone at 800-WI-TIMBER, or in person at the Time Warner Cable Field Box Office.
