GRAND CHUTE, WI -- Greg Halman's bases loaded single in the bottom of the eleventh inning gave the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers a 3-2 victory Wednesday afternoon. The win was Wisconsin's first at Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium. Halman drove in two of the three Rattler runs.

Beloit (4-5) took an early lead with a first inning run. Yancarlos Ortiz doubled to start the game. He moved to third on a wild pitch and scored on a two-out single by Johnny Woodard.

Wisconsin (2-7) tied the game with an unearned run in the bottom of the second. Leury Bonilla grounded back to the mound with one out, but Snapper starting pitcher Adam Hawes threw wildly to first and Bonilla wound up at third base. Bonilla scored on a tapper out in front of the plate by Alex Liddi.

The score remained tied until the Snappers scored in the top of the sixth on a defensive miscue. Brian Dinkleman singled with two outs. He was running when Garrett Olson singled into right. Bonilla misplayed the ball and Dinkleman raced home to put Beloit up 2-1.

But, the Rattlers responded in the bottom of the sixth. Adam walked the first two batters of the inning. Carlos Triunfel dropped a sacrifice bunt to move both runners into scoring position. Halman tied the game with an RBI groundout. The Rattlers did not have another base runner until the bottom of the eleventh as three Snapper pitchers combined to retire sixteen straight.

The Snappers had a few opportunities against Natividad Dilone late int he game. The Rattler reliever hit a batter with one out in the eighth, but got out of that inning with a 6-4-3 double play. In the ninth, Beloit had runners at first and third with one out. But, Dilone got a 6-3 double play to end that chance.

Andrew Barb threw a scoreless top of the eleventh and the Wisconsin batters got going with one out in the bottom of the frame. Ougi Diaz singled. Luis Nunez followed with a single to send Diaz around to third. The Snappers walked Carlos Triunfel intentionally to load the bases. Halman wrecked the strategy by lining the first pitch of his at bat through the drawn in infield for a single and Diaz crossed the plate with the winning run.
