Chesapeake Baysox News Release
The Baysox, along with the Bowie Emergency Aid Fund and the Bowie Blade-News, have announced plans for our 2003 WinterWorks celebration. This FREE event will be held on Friday, December 19 from 7-9 p.m., and will include caroling by the Bowie Knights of Harmony, appearances by Santa and Louie, and a spectacular, holiday fireworks display. Fans will also have the opportunity to celebrate the spirit of giving, as the Baysox will be accepting monetary donations so that the Bowie Emergency Aid Fund can support the Harley family and Pastor Paul Barnes, both of Bowie. Nine-year-old Edmond Harley is suffering from leukemia, while Pastor Barnes, a father of four young children, is in need of a bone-marrow transplant. Both are in serious need of financial help, so please come out to help support these families, while enjoying an evening of Christmas caroling, holiday cheer and fireworks.
