
Winterhawks Announce Western Conference Championship Schedule

Portland Winterhawks News Release
Portland, Ore. - Following consecutive four-game sweeps in Rounds 1 and 2, the 2-seed Portland Winterhawks will take on the 1-seed Prince George Cougars in the Western Conference Championship.
Portland will host Games 3 and 4, as well as a potential Game 5 if necessary, as the series is contested in a 2-3-2 format. Tickets to Winterhawks home games will be available online through Ticketmaster in the coming days.
The U.S Division Champion Winterhawks went 2-2-0-0 against the B.C. Division Champion Cougars this year, including three tightly contested one-goal games between the clubs. Prince George captured the Western Conference's top seed by one point (102 to Portland's 101) and won one more game than the Winterhawks this season. Eleven total NHL prospects feature in this conference championship matchup, including Portland's James Stefan, Luca Cagnoni and Nate Danielson and Prince George's Riley Heidt, Zac Funk and Koehn Ziemmer.
Games will be played at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland and CN Centre in Prince George. The full schedule for the second-round series is below.
