Winterhawks Announce Preseason Schedule Change

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Winterhawks, proud member club of the Western Hockey League, announced one change to the team's upcoming preseason schedule today.

The team's contest scheduled to be played against the Seattle Thunderbirds at the Toyota Center in Kennewick, WA on Sunday, September 19 has been cancelled.

The Winterhawks will now play four preseason games in total, listed below:

Friday, September 10 vs. Seattle (Angel of the Winds Arena - Everett, WA) - 2:00 p.m.

Sunday, September 12 at Everett (Angel of the Winds Arena - Everett, WA) - 4:00 p.m.

Friday, September 17 vs. Spokane (Toyota Arena - Kennewick, WA) - 3:00 p.m.

Saturday, September 18 at Tri-City (Toyota Arena - Kennewick, WA) - 6:05 p.m.

Portland opens their regular season on Friday, October 1 at Tri-City, one day before Winterhawks Pacific Office Automation Opening Night on Saturday, October 2.

The Portland Winterhawks begin their 46th season of play on October 1 and will host Seattle on October 2 for the team's Pacific Office Automation Opening Night.
