Winterhawks Alum Nolan Pratt Wins Stanley Cup as Avalanche Assistant Coach

The Portland Winterhawks would like to congratulate former defenseman Nolan Pratt on winning the Stanley Cup as an assistant coach for the Colorado Avalanche. Pratt has served as Colorado's assistant coach since 2016, and has coached in the North American professional ranks since 2011.

Pratt, 46, spent parts of four seasons with the Winterhawks. The Fort McMurray, Alta. native made his Hawks debut during the 1991-92 season, logging 11 points in 22 games that year. From then on, he surpassed his points totals in each of the next three seasons, notching 23 in 1992-93, 36 in 1993-94 and 43 in 1994-95. Pratt wrapped up his Portland career with a total of 16 goals, 97 assists and 113 points in 236 games before moving on to an 11-year career in the NHL.
