
Winterhawks Add Cole Slobodian to Active Roster

Portland, Ore. - The Portland Winterhawks Hockey Club today added defenseman Cole Slobodian to the team's active roster ahead of Game 1 of the 2024 WHL Western Conference Championship.
Slobodian, 18, signed with the Winterhawks on Nov. 30, 2023 after being added to the team's protected list in 2021. The Brandon, Man. native posted 20 points in 53 regular-season games with the Virden Oil Capitals (MJHL) this season and was named to the MJHL All-Rookie team. He also recorded four assists in 12 playoff games with Virden.
In a corresponding move, defenseman Cohen Massey has been reassigned.
