WINSTON-SALEM DASH (20-21) vs. POTOMAC NATIONALS (22-20)

RHP Myles Jaye (1-0, 3.00 ERA) vs. RHP Rob Gilliam (0-0, 2.25 ERA)

2 p.m. - BB&T Ballpark (Winston-Salem, NC)

DeMICHELE, DASH STUN P-NATS AGAIN For the second straight night, Winston-Salem erased a late Potomac lead. The Dash scored an unearned run in the ninth and walked off winners in the 10th by a score of 4-3 at BB&T Ballpark. In the last of the ninth, Mark Haddow reached on an error, advanced to second on another error, scampered to third on a groundout and stormed home on a wild pitch with two away and an 0-2 count to knot the score. One frame later, Adam Heisler tripled with two down, and Joey DeMichele followed with a run-producing single to give the Dash their fifth last at-bat win.

NO LOVE IN NC Including the first two games of this series, Winston-Salem has won 12 straight home contests against the Nationals, including all 10 during the 2012 season. Since BB&T Ballpark opened in 2010, Winston boasts a 25-7 (.781) home record against Potomac. A year ago, the P-Nats were just 2-18 in the state of North Carolina. In addition to the 0-10 mark in the Triad, the Nationals were 2-8 against Carolina at Five County Stadium. Their first win here in North Carolina came on August 28 in Zebulon.

LAST AT-BAT FUN The Dash recorded their fifth last at-bat victory of the campaign in Saturday's middle match. Winston-Salem has now claimed consecutive last at-bat victories for the first time since August 13-14, 2012, when the Dash accomplished the feat on back-to-back nights at home against Salem. Since 2010, Winston has won two games in a row in their last at-bat five times, but the club has yet to turn the trick in three straight.

DeMICHELE DOES IT AGAIN Both of Winston-Salem's walk-off hits this season belong to Joey DeMichele. DeMichele also hit a walk-off home run in a 12-9, 11-inning thriller against Frederick on May 8. Before his game-winning single last night, the Phoenix, Ariz., native had not mustered a hit in his previous 18 at-bats.

EXTRA! EXTRA! WIN ALL ABOUT IT Winston-Salem improved to 4-0 in extra innings thanks to Saturday's come-from-behind victory. The Dash are tied with Hickory (Low-A, Texas) and Mississippi (Double-A, Atlanta) for the most extra-inning victories without a loss in Minor League Baseball. The Dash have outscored their opponents 6-0 from the 10th inning on thus far this season. The only other Carolina League squad without a defeat in extra innings is Myrtle Beach. The Pelicans are 3-0 in extra frames.

HEISLER'S STREAK NOW MiLB'S BEST Dating back to last season, Winston-Salem outfielder Adam Heisler has reached base in 41 straight games, which is now the longest current streak in Minor League Baseball. Jamal Austin of High Desert (High-A, Seattle) had hit safely in 47 straight contests before an 0-for-4 showing against Inland Empire on Friday. Heisler was 1-for-3 with a first-inning walk and a 10th-inning triple Saturday to extend his streak. However, Heisler is not in the Dash's starting lineup today.

MORE ON THE ON-BASE STREAK Heisler reached in his final three games of 2012 while with rookie-level Great Falls before finding his way on base in all 38 games this year (19 with Low-A Kannapolis and 19 with Winston-Salem). Heisler has hit safely in 32 of these 41 games, during which he owns a .304 average (48-for-158) with 16 RBIs and 28 runs scored.

BB&T BALLPARK REACHES ONE MILLION The Dash celebrated the one millionth fan in BB&T Ballpark history Thursday night. Since the ballpark opened on April 13, 2010, a total of 1,014,839 fans have attended a Dash game at BB&T Ballpark. To celebrate, the Dash let one lucky fan (Alisa Keegan) play a game of chance on the field following the bottom of the seventh inning Thursday for one of three prizes: one million dollars, a two-year lease on a $30,000 vehicle from Flow Companies or two Dash tickets for life. She ended up winning the two Dash tickets for life.
