
Winnipeg ICE 4 Day Hockey and Sports Camp

The Winnipeg ICE Hockey and Sports Camp will be a great opportunity for youth players born 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 to participate in a 4 day long Camp with their favorite Winnipeg ICE players and staff. This one of a kind experience includes a headshot, special guests, autographs, fun activities and a WHL standard instruction.
The Camp will also provide instruction and game play of other sports during the day. Flag Football, soccer, basketball, dodgeball, spike ball, baseball will all be sports the players will be exposed to.
Camp Features
-8 hours of ice time, combination of development and scrimmage play
-4 hours of Dryland training, focusing on agility, balance and coordination
-8 hours of Sport , one hour of skill development and one hour of gameplay per day
-Discussions about leadership, team, nutrition, and mental health
***Hot Lunch provided each day and access to a canteen

COST
$395+GST per child/per week
The Winnipeg ICE Hockey School will take place over three separate weeks from July 19 -22nd, 2021, July 26 -29th, 2021 and August 9-12th, 2021 at the Southdale Community Centre. The first week of the camp will be an all female camp. The Camps will be open to players born in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014.
Drop-off each day is 8:00 a.m. and pick-up will be at 4:30 pm.
Daily format for each day of The Winnipeg ICE Hockey School will include;
2 x 60 minute on-ice session
1 x 60 minute dryland session with Winnipeg ICE Trainer
1 x 60 minute Sport development session
1 x 60 minute Sport Game play session
2 x 15 minute snack break
1 x 45 minute provided Hot lunch break
1 x 15 minute boardroom session
The on-ice portion of the camp will focus on:
Skating / Edgework
Passing & Scoring
Puck Control and Protection
Position-specific training (Defense / Forward / Goalies)
Teamwork

Each morning, groups will be introduced to and experience the sport of choice. Players will learn some fundamentals and play some small area games. In the afternoon, players will use some of the skills developed to scrimmage and play. Fair play and respect for sport and the opponent will be of focus. Sports that will be played are; flag football, soccer, basketball, dodgeball, spike ball, and baseball. All equipment will be provided and the goal will be to be outside for all these activities.
Prior to the start of the Winnipeg ICE Hockey School, up to date COVID-19 facility information and protocol will be sent to all participants. If COVID-19 prohibits the Camp from running, all fees paid will be refunded less a ten dollar administration fee.
Parents will be required to provide running shoes, a change of clothes, a water bottle, and a hat and sunscreen.
Sanitizer will be provided but we encourage all camp members to bring their own as well. Coaches will be available to tie skates as needed to limit people in the dressing room. This is an experience your child does not want to miss out on!
