WINNIPEG, MB. - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announce today the club has signed national receiver Tyrone Pierre and international defensive back Tharold Simon.
Pierre (6-2, 201, Laval University, February 8, 1995 in Ottawa, ON) was selected 41st overall in the 2018 CFL Draft. He played four seasons with the Laval Rouge et Or. In 2017, Pierre had 13 receptions for 122 yards in eight games. Pierre won the 2016 Vanier Cup with Laval University.
Simon (6-3, 202, Louisiana State University, March 6, 1991 in Eunice, LA.) spent four seasons in the NFL, playing 11 games with the Seattle Seahawks and nine with the Arizona Cardinals, recording 15 total tackles and one interception. Simon spent his college career with the LSU Tigers, recording 99 total tackles and seven interceptions in 34 games played.
