
Wings Win Home Opener 4-1 Friday

Your Aberdeen Wings began the 2020-2021 season Friday night at the Odde with a 4-1 win over the St. Cloud Norsemen. Thomas Manty (1) got the Scoring started in the first period, with the assists going to Jakob Stender (1) and Clayton Cosentino (1). That would be it for scoring in the 1st. St. Cloud would tie things up early in the 2nd with a Jack Suchy (1) goal. Under a minute later Aberdeen would retake the lead off a Nathan Mann (1) goal. Assisting on the Mann goal was Kevin MacKay (1). Jackson Yee would add to the lead at the midway point of the game with a goal assisted by Nathan Mann (1) & Cosentino (2). Liam Fraser (1) would close out the game with a goal at the 7:50 mark of the 3rd period. Getting assists on the Fraser goal was Payton Matsui (1). Jake Sibell was solid in net allowing 1 goal on 17 shots.
