Kalamazoo Wings News Release
Kalamazoo, MI- Wings Stadium, which is also home to "The Annex" and "The Cube," announces that the complex has incorporated the use of Ticketmaster's " E-Ticket".
"E-Ticket" is the newest technology option that the Wings Stadium Complex has integrated to make patrons overall experience a positive one.
Patrons can order tickets online through Ticketmaster and choose the "Ticketfast" option for Wings Stadium events. When patrons choose this option an "E-Ticket" will be emailed to them; that ticket is printed out and becomes their ticket to the show. Individuals with an "E-Ticket" can only enter Wings Stadium through Door 10, which is located in the main lobby of the facility. The ushers have a scanner that will scan the bar code on the ticket and the patron can walk right in without waiting in a will call line.
Wings Stadium started to use "E-Tickets" during their World Wrestling Entertainment event last weekend. The facility will use this Ticketmaster technology again during the Rascal Flatts concert on this Thursday, January 22nd, as well as for all K-Wings' games.
In the last year, the Wings Stadium Complex has made other improvements other than "E-Ticket" to create a positive experience for all guests to the complex. In October, the facility installed a new I-94 reader board on their highway marquee sign. The message center, which is already part of one of the most visible billboards on I-94 is now even more noticeable to drivers. The new LED message center is made with a state of the art fiber optics and controlled by a new computer system. Including red lettering and a super graphic studio, which will cause all messages on the highway marquee to make an even stronger impact on passing traffic.
The second change is currently happening inside Wings Stadium, as a new sound system is being installed in the main arena, that will ultimately provide a very dramatic improvement in all aspects of sound quality throughout the arena.. Currently, Wings Stadium has 14 speakers in its main stadium. After the renovations are complete the arena will be equipped with 56 speakers, as well as acoustical lapendary baffles covering approximately 15,000 square feet of ceiling that will drastically and noticeably improve everyone's experience at Wings Stadium.
Besides the speakers in the main stadium, there will also be 12 speakers located within the stadium's concourse so guests will be able to hear safety announcements, as well as enjoy the K-Wings radio broadcasts while visiting one of the stadiums many concession stands.
The new system will also include a new assistive listening system, which meets ADA requirements to accommodate those patrons that are hearing impaired.
Stadium Management Company owns both the Wings Stadium Complex and the Kalamazoo Wings hockey team. The Wings Stadium Complex is comprised of three buildings; Wings Stadium seats more than 5,100 fans for K-Wings home games and more than 8,000 people for concerts and other stage events. The Annex seats 1,367 for ice events and 2,850 for non-ice events such as car, boat, and trade shows. The Cube is the newer of the three facilities, that plays host to both ice and non-ice events. All three buildings are available for rental and feature numerous catering and meeting opportunities.
