Wings' Snider Named National Lacrosse League's Rookie Of The Month
February 1, 2007 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Philadelphia Wings News Release
The Philadelphia Wings' Geoff Snider was named the NLL's January Rookie of the Month. Snider scored 13 points (6G, 7A), collected 53 loose balls and won 53 of 79 face-off attempts in five games during the month.
"We drafted Geoff with the intention of having him become an impact player immediately," said Wings Head Coach Lindsay Sanderson. "He brings great versatility to the game with his solid defense, his skills as a face-off specialist, and his ability to put the ball in the net. Geoff has all the tools to be a great player in this league for years to come."
Snider was drafted by the Wings in the first round (fourth overall) of the 2006 NLL Entry Draft. The 5'11" 200-pound transition player played his college lacrosse at the University of Denver.
