Today, the Aberdeen Wings front office announced the signing of Illinois defenseman Eric Moser.

Moser, a 5-11, 180lbs defenseman for the Illinois U18 AAA team has official signed a tender to join the Aberdeen Wings. A 1996 born player, Moser has been high on the list of prospects for the Wings scouting staff.

"Eric is an aggressive, two-way defenseman with good mobility," said Francis Anzalone, Aberdeen Wings Director of Player Personnel. "He is strong on his skates, competes in all three zones and plays with an edge."

Currently playing in the High Performance Hockey League, a Tier-I AAA development league Moser has impressed many with his style of play.

"Our staff has worked to identify a 96 birth year defenseman with his type of upside," stated Wings head coach Travis Winter. "We are fortunate that Eric chose to sign with us."

"We believe his style of play fits a piece we are looking for," said Anzalone. "We are excited to work with him."

The Aberdeen Wings scouting staff is pleased with the new addition.
