January 27, 2015 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Aberdeen Wings News Release
The Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League are pleased to announce the signing of goaltender Peter Thome to a tender contract for the 2015-2016 season.
Thome, currently with the Tier 1 U18 Chicago Fury, is a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The 6'4" goaltender is 10-5-1 this season with a 2.07 goals against average and 92.7% save percentage.
"Peter is a big goalie that moves well, he controls his rebounds and has a calming effect on his team," said Aberdeen Wings Director of Scouting Mike Grattan. "He makes the big saves while keeping the routine saves simple."
Thome signs with the Aberdeen Wings, who in less than 5 seasons, have produced 5 goaltenders who have made an NCAA Division I commitment. Most recently, current Wings goaltender #35 Andrew Shortridge (Quinnipiac) and last season's goaltender Henry Dill (UMass).
