
Wings Lose to Brookings 3-2

Aberdeen Wings News Release
In the first period, Wings forward #11 Victor Ostling (F-Stockholm, Sweden) would score at the 15:24 mark with assist from #16 Kyle Haak (F-Okemos, MI). Aberdeen led much of the offensive play in the first outshooting Brookings 15-6. In the second, the Blizzard would tie the game with just seconds left in the period with a goal from Kevin Shand.
The third period would be wild with both teams battling to get the go ahead goal. At the 2:55 mark, Brookings' Ryan Sete would go coast to coast and score to give the Blizzard a 2-1 lead. Shortly after, the Wings would score after a scrum at the net. The puck would be left for Wings forward #18 Austin Swingle (F-St. Cloud, MN) to score with assists from #8 Drew Doyon (F-Indianapolis, IN) and #17 Will Hammer (F-St. Cloud, MN) making it 2-2. About mid-way through the final period, Blizzards' Joe Anderson would beat the goaltender for the 3-2 lead and ultimately the victory.
