(Harlingen, TX) - The Harlingen WhiteWings Baseball Club is gearing up for their United League season opener at Harlingen Field by hosting a 2008 Job Fair at the ballpark on Saturday, May 3.

Those interested in joining the WhiteWings seasonal staff need to stop by Harlingen Field, 12 16 Fair Park Blvd, on May 3rd between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. At that time, management will visit with applicants as they look to fill positions in Game Day Operations which offers positions in Stadium Maintenance, Ticket Takers, Ticket Sellers, Ushers, Souvenir Shop personnel, Customer Service, and Clubhouse Manager. Additionally, the club seeks to hire for slots with the Concessions Staff including Cooks, Managers, Cashiers, Vendors, and Wait Staff.

Applications will be accepted throughout the Job Fair and potential employees must be a minimum 16 years of age to apply. Those taking part should also arrive with proper documentation for employment.

"This season will be one of the biggest and best summers of professional baseball here in Harlingen," WhiteWings General Manager Dave Kost said. "As such, it is important we assemble an All-Star staff that wants to be a part of all of the excitement here at the ballpark."

The Harlingen WhiteWings Baseball Club is a member of the independent United League Baseball circuit with six clubs located in both Texas and Louisiana. The 2008 season kicks off on Tuesday, May 13 when the WhiteWings visit the defending United League Champion, Alexandria Aces. Cameron County fans will greet the hometown team on Tuesday, May 20 at 7:05 pm as they welcome their valley rivals, the Edinburg Coyotes, for the first of a three game set.
