San Angelo Colts News Release

SAN ANGELO, Texas - Most fans who come to Foster Field root for the hometown Colts. Some fans who come out to the ball park might root for the opposing team. No matter their allegiance, everyone loves the mascot!

The Colts are looking to hire an energetic performer to be their mascot, "Casey" the Colt, for the upcoming 2008 season. As the team's official mascot, you must be able to attend all 45 home games, the All-Star Game on July 15, and all post-season games should the Colts make the playoffs. In addition, the mascot will be required to attend various off-site events within the community.

The right candidate would be 17 years old and up, male or female, a great performer (actor, dancer, etc.), and possess the willingness to entertain more than 100,000 fans who will watch Colts' baseball throughout the course of this season.

Auditions will be held at Foster Field at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 10 and all applicants should be present by 9:30 a.m. and ready to showcase their abilities. All those who are interested should contact Colts GM Mike Babcock by calling the front office at (325) 94-COLTS.

The regular-season home schedule runs from May 20 through August 17. Most games begin at 7:05 p.m. and Sunday games start at 5:05 p.m.

The Colts begin the 2008 season with six games on the road before returning to San Angelo for their home opener at Foster Field on Tuesday, May 20, 2008. First pitch will be at 7:05 p.m., and following the game fans will be treated to a Fireworks Show sponsored by Adobe Signs & T-shirts and KLST.

Advertising, ticket, and group information are available by calling the box office at (325) 942-6587. All Colts games are broadcast live on "Cool 100" - KCLL 100.1 FM and online at the Colts' official website, www.sanangelocolts.com, which is updated daily with the latest team news.
