BUFFALO BOUND

The Philadelphia Wings (1-0) head to Buffalo for their second regular-season game against the Bandits (1-0) on Saturday, January 10 at 7:30 p.m. at HSBC Arena. This will be the first of three meetings between the two teams this season. The Wings host the Bandits at the Wachovia Center on Saturday, January 31st at 8 p.m. and Saturday, February 21 at 8 p.m.

WINGS CLIP 'HAWKS IN OPENER

The Wings defeated the Rochester Knighthawks in their season opener on Saturday, December 27 by a score 13-7 at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester. Forward Keith Cromwell led the scoring for the Wings with four points (3G, 1A) and rookie Ryan Ward scored two goals in his first National Lacrosse League action.

Goaltender Dallas Eliuk earned game MVP honors for his 44 save performance. Eliuk is entering his fifteenth season in the NLL.

Tickets for the Wings home opener on Saturday, January 17 vs. the Rochester Knighthawks are still available. RYAN OUT FOR SEASON

Forward Tom Ryan will miss the entire 2004 season due to complications from a concussion suffered last season. Ryan played eight games for the Wings in 2003 and recorded 14 points (7G, 7A).

CAPTAINS ANNOUNCED FOR 2004 SEASON

Forward Jake Bergey was named as the Wings team captain for the 2004 season with forward Tom Marechek and defenseman Rich Brzeski acting as alternates. This is the first time for Bergey as team captain after acting as alternate during the 2002 season. He did not play during the 2003 season due to a knee injury.

BROAD STREET BASH RETURNS

The city's best Saturday night party returns with the Broad Street Bash. Hosted on the concourse of the Wachovia Center, the Broad Street Bash takes place prior to every home game and features live music, and mechanical bull, autographs, and more!
