Aberdeen Wings News Release
The Wings 4 game winning streak was snapped Friday night at the Odde Ice Center as Bismarck left town with a 5-2 win. The Bobcats got on the board first with a Ben Troumbly goal at the 14:33 mark of the 1st period. Aberdeen would respond with a Jacob Bosse snipe to tie things up at 1 all. Bismarck would answer with two more goals from Jake Mclean and Luke Roelofs. It looked like Bismarck would head into the 2nd intermission with a two goal lead, until Parks Wallace was able to find the back of the net from the near side has making it a 2-3 game heading into the final 20 minutes. Jake Mclean would get his second of the game just 1:42 into the 3rd to give the Bobcats a two goal lead. Adam Pietila would add an empty netter to seal the win for Bismarck.
Aberdeen went 0/2 on the power play, while Bismarck went 0/4. Greg Orosz stopped 21 of 25 on the night. "We had a strong night on the penalty kill but left too many opportunities on the table. A couple missed assignments hurt us, allowing them to build momentum. We need to be stronger and sharper tomorrow to earn the split." Wings Head Coach Steve Jennings
The two teams meet again tomorrow night, this time in Bismarck. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:15pm. Watch at Buffalo Wings & Rings in Aberdeen or on HockeyTV.com. Listen on 94.1 The Rock, HubCityRadio.com or The Rock App.
